Amanda creates paintings of scenes that many of us might miss in our busy lives. She sometimes uses precious metal coatings to enhance lighting effects. Amanda also sculpts in bronze, but perhaps the most intriguing of her sculptures involve forensic science. Using a skull or skull replica and applying layers of clay, she simulates soft tissue and skin, while considering the subject's age, gender, ethnicity, quality of life, and so on. The result is a sculptural portrait with an accuracy of less than a millimeter of tolerance. In a way, history comes to life!
