"I am a traditional still life oil painter, strongly influenced by the old masters and contemporary masters of representational/realism painting. I paint almost exclusively from life, and I am especially drawn to the contrast of light emerging from the dark. It begins with composing objects in a way that draws the eye to the light as it flows over and connects the painting. Produce and antiques are some of my favorite subjects. I find every part of the process exciting, from the concept to the cleanup!"
